The key reasons for Fabricom to search for a software solution to automate their bank reconciliation process were the desire to decrease the time required for the manual clearing of incoming payments and to have a flexible program with functionalities to implement improvements that do not require development of SAP user-exitsor other specific programs.
The decision was made in favour of Hanse Orga’s unique software solution AutoBank® for SAP®. The selection process for Fabricom was very simple, they received product information and visited a Hanse Orga Roadshow event in Antwerp where they took the opportunity to see the functionalities and benefits of AutoBank® live in theSAP® system. This convinced them that AutoBank® for SAP® was the best solution for their needs and the project to automate the bank reconciliation processes at Fabricom was started in early February 2009. The implementation was completed in four and a half months and the aim to achieve a high automatic assignment rate was reached quickly.
Now, AutoBank® runs to Fabricom‘s full satisfaction. The Performance Cockpit facilitates a manual clearing that is far easier and they can also see at a glance which back office processes need to be optimised.
